What we do

We work with Local Authorities providing a lifeline for students who need bespoke Post 16 provision.
Everything we do is centered around preparing young people for life beyond education. We ensure every learner has a pathway toward greater independence, confidence, and fulfilment by aligning our provision with the Preparation for Adulthood (PfA) outcomes.

A Cosy Place That Helped Me Heal

My TC has really helped me. I couldn't go out to places because I was too anxious and I didn't have any friends at all. Sometimes I felt depressed and wanted to kill myself.

My TC has really helped me, I got some counselling and I went into the centre to make cakes once a week.  I like it there, it's really cosy and friendly and I like to see the dog too.  I don't like doing school work but I've started doing some work with Zoi who's really nice.  They don't make me do anything I don't want to.

From PlayStation to Purpose

I didn't do much before going to Bridge the Gap. I mostly stayed at home and played my playstation.  Caroline helped me get out of the house and doing some maths.  I was on the programme for 3 years.

Now I'm out every day volunteering, my family also now does volunteering so we all go out to work together.  I got some help to get the train too and now I go to a group every month in Worcester by myself.  I can look after myself much better now and feel like an adult.

Support That Moved With Me

Staff are very easy to talk to, they are honest & caring. They are interested in what I have to say and cater to my interests very well.

My BTGM programme was helpful to support me into employment & work experience. My TC helped me write a CV & fill in application forms. I found the staff easy to get on with and they wanted me to do well. I continued on to a level 2 college course after I moved house.

What the parents say

Place Where Our Daughter Can Truly Thrive
"We have been delighted to see the progress our daughter has made and continues to make with the wonderful Transition co-ordinators, tutors and therapists at BTGM.
All the support is very carefully tailored to meet her complex needs, and her engagement continues to increase as she gets stronger and gains confidence and learns new skills.
We are delighted to have a place for our daughter with this very special organisation.  Thank you BTGM for all that you do!  FYI I am particularly pleased with how A gets on with you...Josie"
